Pitney Bowes Software's Stratus Connect enables you to rapidly deploy web mapping online. It provides both an out-of-the-box solution and a rapid development application programming interface (API).

OVERVIEW

Stratus Connect is designed for spatial data owners and web developers within organisations who need to share corporate data with citizens, councillors and wider stakeholders through a web-based mapping application to provide live information about the location of services in any given vicinity. Stratus Connect can be used internally or externally to promote efficiencies and cost savings with the benefit of an enhanced citizen experience and self-service capabilities.

Delivered as an out-of-the-box solution to a single mapping portal to display a multitude of data online. It is very quick to set-up and is managed through a web-based administration console. Automated integration with business-wide systems and back office systems and multiple datasets provides full control over data used within the application.

Users can query address, street or location gazetteers via intelligent free text search and also retrieve recently selected addresses. Data can be manipulated when viewing through an intuitive layer control utilising base mapping selection tools.

Visually enhanced maps

Stratus Connect can utilise different data sources to display large amounts of data, rendering aesthetically pleasing maps utilising vector translucency. This allows you to create translucent regions whilst continuing to view point lines and regions. The base maps are entirely configurable to present the user with alternate data sets such as aerial photography or street data.

From base through to business

Many of our customers are already choosing the Stratus suite, and in particular Stratus Connect, as a base platform for their location business solutions. The ease of use, combined with its powerful engine and integration capabilities helps you to work towards transformational government objectives. Stratus Connect is fully scalable as your requirements grow beyond existing applications. Underneath Stratus Connect there is a set of Rich Internet Application (RIA) controls which act as building blocks to allow the software to grow with your changing requirements.

Easy administration

Today's administrator does not have the bandwidth to spend lengthy periods of time configuring products. Stratus Connect can relieve this burden via a modern, intuitive, browser-based user interface. Stratus Connect provides the tools to enable GIS power users to create a workspace and publish direct from MapInfo Professional® to the Stratus administrator. As the administration is also browser-based, you can have multiple administrators in various locations without the need to deliver additional and install software, thus simplifying the process.
